How do I put the slide on my home screen?
Open the app and tap Put the slide on my home screen. You can also choose Petri Dish from your phone's wallpaper picker under Live Wallpapers.
How do I change how it looks?
In the app, tap Wallpaper settings, or tap Settings on the wallpaper in your phone's wallpaper picker. Choose the light (bright field, dark field, phase contrast, Gram stain, or match your phone), how crowded the water is and how lively the creatures are.
Where did the field guide go?
The field guide is kept on the phone. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage erases it, and it comes back only if Android's own backup saved it. To start over on purpose, tap Clear the field guide.
Will it drain the battery?
The wallpaper animates only while you can see it, at about 30 frames a second, and stops when it's hidden.
I bought it already. How do I get it on another phone?
The purchase belongs to the Google account that bought it. Sign in to Google Play with that account on the other phone and install it again at no charge.
How do I use a promo code?
In the Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Redeem code. Or go to play.google.com/redeem.
Can I get a refund?
Google handles refunds under Google Play's refund policy. If something went wrong, write to us too and we'll help where we can.
Does it collect anything about my child?
No. It has no ads, no accounts, no chat and no internet access at all. See the privacy policy.
